Dr. Anita Kemi DaSilva-Ibru is a very well educated and influential doctor who has dedicated her life to working for the women of Nigeria. Having received a Master’s degree in public health from John Hopkins University, Dr. DaSilva-Ibru has an amazing educational background that has allowed her to be very successful in her work with the women of Nigeria. There are a couple of different ways that Anita Kemi DaSilva-Ibru uses her considerable skill and experience to help women. One is through her work at the Ideal Eagle Hospital in Lagos, and the other is through her support of The Erelu Adebayo Foundation in her position as one of only five board members.
Anita Kemi DaSilva-Ibru is one of just two full time doctors at the Ideal Eagle Hospital. This hospital located in Lagos, was created to serve the employees of the Chagoury Group and has always maintained a policy of inclusion. With the latest technology and facilities, this hospital has a full staff to assist the doctors, one of which is a cardiologist. Dr. DaSilva-Ibru works at the Ideal Eagle as a doctor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she works hard to provide this vital service to the women of the area, including the employees of many multi-national companies who have contracted with the hospital for services.
Dr. Anita Kemi DaSilva-Ibru is also a member of the board of ERAF, a non-profit non-governmental organization that is dedicated to empowering the poor and underprivileged women of Nigeria. The organization provides job skills training to widows and older teenagers who have been affected by the AIDs crisis, giving them the chance to earn a sustainable income for their families. Through her work at ERAF and at the Ideal Eagle Hospital, Dr. DaSilva-Ibru has shown just how dedicated she is to the needs of the female population of Nigeria.
